This a very important question. Making short term goals to accomplish on a day-to-day basis can be a great tool to get organized. Sometimes, at the end of the day, I find myself wishing that there were more hours left in the day in order to get done what I wanted. Constant review of the days accompishments and let downs are crucial in achieving long lerm success, which we all want, right?
What did you do correct today?
Another important aspect of this concept is “patting your self on the back” for a job well done. I am sometomes to hard on myself and can get discouraged. However if I make a constant effort to recognize things that I do well, I will not get descouraged.

Do NOT be afraid to fail.
That would be me
I’ve fallen several times, lost almost everything, but kept going… I learned not to step in the same hole twice, that’s for sure.
I use to be so focus on the succeeding part I would never allow myself to fail. Once I did my ego was shattered and I had a hard time dealing with that. I eventually figured out that failing is a part of life and that without it we are either stifled in fear or not learning how to deal with failure. As talented as anyone can be, you’re bound to fall on your face.
When setting a goal, it doesn’t matter whether you made it or not… More importantly it’s reviewing WHY you made it or WHY you didn’t.
Not only that, but writing down what you learned is very powerful. I’ve made a lot of mistakes… I’m sure i would have learned a lot more from them if I had a list of “Things I Learned From Screwing Up.”
My biggest struggle lately has been with SETTING goals. Often I’m too lazy to set specific daily goals, even though I know that when I do, I’m always more productive.
