Nice video; good luck with the challenge
Hi Josh! And congratulations on quitting your day job!
It was nice to watch the video post, but I still have some concerns about this new trend of blogging on video:
1) No links: For example when you told about Stephen Welton, I became interested to check out his site. If I could have clicked on a link I’d already have a new tab open on Firefox to see what his site is all about. Now all I have is his name on a piece of paper :). Also from a monetizing point of view I wonder how affiliate links would work on video blogs…
Maybe an idea you might want to try would be to add a list of referenced sites in the blog post, just below the video. This way after watching the video, the visitors could click on the links and wouldn’t have to worry about forgetting the links.
2) No support for skimming: What I usually do when reading blog posts is that I quickly skim through the content to see if it is interesting enough for me to read. In your post you handled this better than most people I’ve seen video blogging: The “topics include” part of your post is really important.
But in general it’s great to see you trying out new things! Keep up the good work!
Great video again guys, this one seemed more professional. I think that mentioning great posts over video is also a great idea.
WOW - Great improvement over last week. I really liked how the conversation flowed in this vid. Good job taking the feedback on lighting and looking at the camera. It really helped with conveying your information.
Great video! One more step to make it perfect . . . Try smiling a little more! Both of you!
Thanks for the feedback! That is a good idea about the links. Next time we will have to figure something out. I did realize the same thing about summarizing the topics rather than writing a really descriptive article about it, so I am glad you are on the same page. Again, thanks for the feedback!
Awesome vid, guys! Watching the production of this was a plus for sure ^_^
