I Think I’m Turning Geek… I Really Think So…
Jul. 9th, 2007 by Josh Mullineaux
Internet marketing is serious business. A business that I can no longer afford nor avoid. Let’s face it, I am in the business of Marketing myself, my company and others on the internet. A subject not covered thoroughly in any undergraduate business school.
This month I want to start taking the marketing of my blog more seriously. This means that I need to come up with vehicles to assist with marketing myself better.
This involves;
1. Pod Casting.
2. Making corrections so that my blog is correctly viewed in all web browsers.
3. Be more interactive with my readers.
4. Spend more time exploring the blogsphere.
5. Possibly pay for a “Review Me,” (later in the month).
6. Paying for text links on others’ blogs.
7. Writing more posts where my reader’s can learn and apply something useful.
8. Continue to invest time into learning more about internet marketing.
9. Pick 5 or 6 keywords I would like to rank well for in search engines.
10. Examine top ranking blogs for each given keyword.
There is always more that can be done. The biggest thing that I want to concentrate on is writing increasingly useful posts. I would like to brand myself as someone that others can turn to for motivation, information, and expertise in my given fields.
Speaking with my business partners and discussing ways to make money online motivates me to want to explore this world further. I feel as though I have an obligation to myself and my friends/business partners to further my knowledge of this area. As most, if not all of you know, Nate Whitehill is my business partner and motivation for starting my blog.
Another aspect of my blog that I need to focus on is my page rank. The Google page rank revision is coming soon and I have almost no backlinks this is key to obtaining a higher page rank. This is very necessary for legitimizing your blog.
Let me know if any of you have suggestions. I can use all the help I can get!

Just like Shoemoney said he reads way way more than he writes because only through reading can you learn how to market your blog and how to get more traffic and such, having a blog can be very profitable, just look at John Chow!
I recently wrote an article on my blog about getting free website traffic!

Now that post was really serious business. Getting page rank should not be a problem with the success that seems to just gravi”nate” towards you.
Keep rocking!

The backlinks will come. The more good posts you write, the more people will link to them. If you have the cash, some reviews would bring your blog to the attention of a lot of people who are not aware of you.
